How we chose these fintech events
We looked for well-established events with a senior audience, real deal-making and a clear reason to attend, and we aimed for a mix of payments, banking, investment and policy. We included events outside London where they serve a strong regional fintech community. The list runs in date order, not as a ranking, and the attendee figures are the organisers’ own.

When the UK fintech calendar is busiest
UK fintech events cluster in three seasons. Spring is the busiest: MoneyLIVE and Insurtech Insights Europe open March, then UK FinTech Week and PAY360 share a week in late April. June brings London Tech Week and the FinTech North conference in Leeds.
After a quieter summer, the autumn season runs from Fintech Week London in late September through the FinTech Scotland Festival, FinNext London in mid-October and the FTT Fintech Festival in November, with Fintech Connect closing the year in December. If you can only travel twice, one trip in April and one in October covers a large share of the UK fintech calendar.

Tips for planning your UK fintech events in 2027
- Watch the April crunch. UK FinTech Week (19–23 April) and PAY360 (21–22 April) fall in the same week, so book hotels and meetings early if you want both.
- Use the autumn for London. Fintech Week London (20–24 September) is about three weeks before FinNext London (13 October), giving you two chances to meet the city’s founders and investors.
- Pair London with the Gulf. FinNext Dubai on 7 October and FinNext London on 13 October are six days apart. Read our guide to fintech in Dubai if you are planning both.
- Look beyond London. Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow host strong regional fintech events, often with easier access to senior bankers.
- Book meetings before you fly. Our fintech conference networking tips explain how to plan, work the room and follow up.
Practical tips for visiting London for a fintech event
- Check the venue, not just the city. London’s event venues are spread out: ExCeL is in the Docklands, Olympia is in west London and the Guildhall is in the City. Book a hotel near the venue you will spend most time at.
- Allow time between meetings. Crossing London can take an hour at busy times, so cluster your meetings around each venue.
- Check entry requirements early. International visitors should check if they need a UK visa on GOV.UK well before they travel.
- Book hotels as soon as dates are confirmed. Rooms near the main venues fill quickly in the busiest event weeks, especially in April and October.
